The Italian press are reporting some huge transfer story for Manchester United fans on Wednesday.

According to the likes of Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, Juventus striker Paulo Dybala may be on his way to Man United.

The Dybala to Man United story appears on the front pages on the two papers.

CdS carry the headline: “Mourinho wants Dybala – there’s an offer of €68m”.

Dybala has 15 goals and four assists in 25 competitive games this season. He can play anywhere in the attacking third but naturally he is a secondary striker. The Argentine international forward has been left out of the Juventus team for the last three league matches in a row. Those matches have included the huge Serie A games against Inter Milan and Roma.

The likes of Bayern Munich and Barca are also interested in signing the versatile playmaker but the Old Trafford club are leading the race to lure the 24-year-old star after appointing Ribalta (Juve’s former head of scouting) as their head scout in the summer. Ribalta was the figurehead for Juve’s scouting network for five years, and has been credited as one of the key figures behind securing deals for Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala, Alex Sandro and Dani Alves among other stars.

Interestingly, the 36-year-old Spaniard was also involved the signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, one of Manchester United’s key targets this summer, and personally helped the Spain striker settle in Italy prior to his return to Spain at a large profit.

Ribalta will now have a ‘significant role’ in United’s transfer machinations, overseeing which players are targeted alongside Jose Mourinho and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
