Man United star could miss Premier League clash with Stoke City

Anthony Martial is a doubt for Manchester United’s Premier League visit of Stoke City.

The 22-year-old traveled to Dubai with the rest of the United squad for their warm-weather training last week but manager Jose Mourinho said Martial had suffered an unspecified injury.

When asked if everyone bar the long-term absentees was fit, Mourinho replied: “Martial not really but I hope he can [play].”

Antonio Valencia is set to make his first appearance since suffering a hamstring injury at West Brom on December 17, having come through the Dubai training camp unscathed.

Second choice goalkeeper Sergio Romero did not travel to the United Arab Emirates but Mourinho clarified he was fit and available for the Monday night fixture with Stoke.
